Atelier, Werkstatt und Lager

2010–2014

The artist Peter Lang has lived in Gleißenberg for several years. As a graphic artist and painter he has developed an extensive oeuvre. For the works not yet sold, he needed a warehouse that would offer a maximum of climatic comfort for the stored paintings using simple structural means.

The constructions and materials used are very simple: single-skinned, highly insulating masonry, white muddy on the room side (untreated in the warehouse), rough plastered on the outside and a truss construction made of white glazed, sawn-rough woods with a rough board formwork visible on the room side and a roof cladding made of a slate bitumen roofing membrane characterise the character of the building.
