Kaija ja Heikki Sirenin
Lingonsö
1966–1969
As befits the old style, the buildings are grouped in the most sheltered cove of the island. If you decide to settle on an uninhabited island, it’s best to proceed slowly, getting used to the ways and nature of the place gradually. First you build a sauna, then the other buildings as you need them. All the buildings of the house group are built of 6” machine planed logs. This structure has a small scale, is easy to construct, and suits the building tradition of the archipelago.
